The Mission of adult outpatient services is to provide mental health, substance abuse, and case management services to persons 18 years and older who are experiencing a serious mental illness, a substance use disorder, and/or co-occurring disorders. The goal of adult treatment and case management is to deliver high-quality support and services with passion and integrity to inspire hope in those who receive them. Adult outpatient services are recovery-focused, so those serve to develop the tools to continue their recovery journey beyond treatment. This is accomplished through an array of services which include individual and group therapy, case management services, psychiatric services, peer support services, and Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT). Adult outpatient services are primarily provided in Community Services offices at our Manassas and Woodbridge locations. Additionally, the agency provides treatment in the Adult Detention Center.

The Mission of intensive community-based services is to provide intensive case management and treatment services to adults with serious mental illness and/or co-occurring disorders. This is accomplished through an array of mental health services provided outside the clinic/office setting to support the individual achieve and maintain their maximum level of independence. These services are intended to prevent psychiatric hospitalizations, decrease involvement with the criminal justice system, promote successful community living, and foster maximum independence.

Intensive community-based services include community case management, mental health skill-building, forensic services, Vocational Services, and Assertive Community Treatment (ACT). Additionally, services include Coordinated Specialty Care (CSC) treatment for young adults experiencing first-episode psychosis. These intensive services are provided across many settings throughout the community, including the individual’s home, their place of employment, hospitals, and the Adult Detention Center.
