Bahram Nasehi, the CEO of Dulles Glass and Mirror, said the ready workforce was critical to the company's decision to invest $7.5 million to move to Prince William County.

The available space in the county and its convenient location also contributed to the decision, Nasehi said. "We have access to most metropolitan areas from here."

The company also took advantage of the county's streamlined permitting and inspection processes. "I think Prince William County has been instrumental in helping us move here," Nasehi said. "They've been fantastic. In moving and relocation, there are a lot of challenges as far as inspections, permits, electrical work. It's very complex. It exemplifies how a county and a business can work together to move here."

Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe spoke at a recent ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate the company's move to Prince William County. "Today is a great day. I'm very appreciative that we're here for this grand opening. This is a growing, dynamic company. I just can't thank you enough on behalf of every citizen in the Commonwealth of Virginia."

McAuliffe also mentioned the county's workforce and thanked the county for helping the company move.  "This would not happen … if we didn't have a great workforce. I also want to thank all of the Prince William County folks, all the folks who were part of economic development."

Brentsville District Supervisor Jeanine Lawson also thanked the company for moving to the county. "It is a great day. It's about people, and it's about jobs. On behalf of the Board of County Supervisors, we welcome you to the county."

The company's investment brought 40 new jobs to the county to add to the existing 96 jobs that the company saved in the move, according to company officials.
