Prince William County Seeks Citizen Input to Implement Recommendations from Rural Preservation Study

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA…. Spearheaded by the Planning Office, Prince William County will host a public meeting for citizens to share their perspectives regarding rural preservation in Prince William County. The purpose of the meeting is to create a vision and plans for implementing recommendations form the Rural Preservation Study that will help the county accomplish that vision. The vision and recommendations will ultimately be presented to the Board of County Supervisors for consideration as part of the recommended updates to the county's Comprehensive Plan.

The meeting will be held on Monday, June 24, 2019, from 5-8 p.m. at the Development Services Building, which is located at 5 County Complex Court, Woodbridge, VA 22192. It is preferred for those planning on attending the meeting to email the Planning Office at with a response of "Will Attend" or "May Attend" so that the they can get an idea of staffing and seating needs.

Public participation and citizen engagement are essential to Prince William County's continued success as a "community of choice" where families and individuals choose to live and businesses choose to locate. The Planning Office encourages public participation and citizen engagement as they work together with the community to shape the county's vision for rural preservation.
