Update 4/2/19: All Taxpayer Services locations and the Call Center will be closed on Wednesday, April 17, for all-day training.
Operating hours at the Prince William County Taxpayer Services counters will change a bit on the Wednesdays only between March 6 and August 28. The counters at the McCoart Government Center, Dr. A.J. Ferlazzo Building and Sudley North Building, as well as the call center, will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. those days.
This will allow Taxpayer Services employees the opportunity to gain valuable training, including customer service and technology improvement training.
"These employees are on the front line helping customers every day. We want to make sure we provide them the necessary training that allows them to best serve the residents of Prince William County," said Michelle Attreed, the county's director of finance. "We are committed to providing seamless and high-quality customer service, integrated with the use of technology, and this will allow us the opportunity to provide our employees with the necessary tools to do that."
The change in hours will only impact Wednesdays in March through August, Attreed said. The counters and call center will be open during regular business hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays during this timeframe and open again for regular hours beginning August 29.
Residents may visit the county's Taxpayer Portal at https://tax.pwcgov.org/ where information, tools and resources are available to manage and pay taxes 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
