Prince William County Land, Development Services and Planning
Experts Speak at Annual Virtual Conference
On October 15, 2020, Prince
William County leaders and experts from Development Services, Environmental Services, Fire Marshal, Geographic Information Systems, Planning, Transportation and Prince William County Service
Authority
presented the 2020 Land Development Virtual Seminar.
According to Prince
William County Director of Development Services Wade A. Hugh, “Prince William
County works hard to model best practices related to land development, working
alongside the Commercial
Development Committee members, Northern
Virginia Building Industry Association, business community and citizens.”
“The vision guiding the
land development evolution is to create lively and walkable, authentic areas,
that define a sense of place and purpose for residents and tourists while
ensuring a safe and vibrant future-leading environment for businesses of all
types and sizes.”
The seminar provided
detailed insight on a variety of land development regulations and uses,
including definitions of Town Centers, Community Mixed-Use, Office Mixed-Use,
Technology/Flex space, and Arts & Entertainment.
