Design-A-Bookmark ContestWould you like to see your artwork in books all over Prince William County? Prince William Public Library System announces a Design-A-Bookmark contest! March 1-31 Entrants must be age 18 or over. Needles & HooksIf you like to make crafts with a needle or hook, join us on the first Tuesday of the month and have fun sharing your craft and meeting others who also enjoy needlework. Tuesday, April 6, 7:00 p.m. Drop in; no registration required. *Spanish CharlasThis is an opportunity for those with a basic knowledge of Spanish to practice their conversation skills in a friendly, relaxed setting. Richard Leea fascinating look at one of the earliest members of the Lee family, Col. Richard Lee. Join us to discover insights into the political and social problems he faced as one of the leaders of the Virginia Colony in the mid 1600s & early 1700s, including the Bacon Rebellion and his relationship with Lord Fairfax. This program will be animated with a detailed collection of illustrations and portraits of some of the scoundrels and heroes in Col. Richard Lee's life. Drop in; no tickets required. *Chinn Park Regional Library Presents HungrytownHusband-wife duo, Ken Anderson and Rebecca Hall, plays a down-home sound with flair. Performing bluegrass and ballads with fiddles, mandolins, and banjos, their music dwells in rustic environments. Award-winning songwriter Rebecca Hall lends her smooth voice and understated lyrics to every song, while Ken Anderson’s rich but spare arrangements make use of his multi-instrumental talent.
