The Prince William County Office of Elections is open Monday to Friday, 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. 

We will be open 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 30, 2016, for In Person Absentee Voting

        • Tuesday, May 3, 2016 - Town Elections in Dumfries, Haymarket, Occoquan and Quantico
        • Monday, May 30, 2016 - Memorial Day.  All County offices closed.
        • Monday, July 4, 2016 - Independence Day. All County Offices Closed.

November General ELECTION:

TUESDAY, November 8, 2016

6:00 a.m. until 7:00 P.M.

To Elect the President of the United States & Members of the US House of Representatives 

On Tuesday, November 8 there will be a General Election for President of the United States and U.S. House of Representatives. The ballot will also include several proposed amendments to the Virginia Constitution. Sample ballots will be posted in the fall. All regular polling places will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

  • The voter registration deadline for this election will be Monday, October 17, 2016. You may apply online through the Citizen Portal on Virginia's Department of Elections website. Or, if you would like to submit a paper registration application, you may download the form here (fillable pdf).
  • Absentee voting for the November election will begin on Friday, September 23, 2016.  You may apply online through the Citizen Portal on Virginia's Department of Elections website. Or, if you would like to submit a paper absentee application, you may use the form on our Absentee Voting page.
