untitled.bmpIndividual counseling is offered at no cost through the Financial Education and Housing Counseling Program.  VCE Prince William is a HUD approved Local Housing Counseling Agency.
 
Long-Term Counseling – If you need personalized services to achieve a financial goal, VCE counselors can assist you in developing an action plan with the steps needed to reach that goal.  To schedule an appointment, call 703-792-6287 or email smartmoney@pwcgov.org

Reverse or Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (HECM) – If you are a homeowner age 62 years and older and are considering converting the equity in your home into income, a certified HECM counselor is available to help you make an informed decision and guide you through the process.  To speak with the HECM counselor, call 703-792-4713 or email housingcounseling@pwcgov.org.   En Español, llamar 703-792-4755.
 
Post-Purchase Counseling – If you recently purchased your first home, VCE counselors can help you adjust your spending plan to accommodate new expenses and build reserves, recognize common pitfalls and scams aimed at new homeowners, and identify ways to protect your investment.  To schedule an appointment, call 703-792-6287 or email smartmoney@pwcgov.org
 
Rental Counseling – If you are struggling with monthly rental payments or need help securing affordable rental housing, VCE counselors can work with you to manage your finances and develop an action plan to maintain stable housing.  To schedule an appointment, call 703-792-6287 or email smartmoney@pwcgov.org
 
VCE does not offer financial assistance; however, counselors can provide you with a list of resources and assist you with the application process for funds to resolve your current housing crisis.
