CONTINUUM OF CARE (CoC) PROGRAM FUNDING PROCESS COMPETITION IS NOW OPEN
The CoC Program (24 CFR part 578) is designed to promote a community-wide commitment to the goal of ending homelessness; to provide funding for efforts by nonprofit providers, state, and local governments to quickly re-house the homeless while minimizing the trauma and dislocation caused by homelessness; to promote access and to effectively utilize mainstream programs by the homeless; and to optimize self-sufficiency among those experiencing homelessness.
The FY 2015 CoC Program funding process is administered under the CoC Program interim Rule and covers the application and award process for FY 2015 CoC Program funds. The Prince William Area (PWA) CoC will be submitting a community-wide application to support the following programs: Transitional Housing for homeless households and Permanent Supportive Housing for chronically homeless individuals.
