Landfill

The County Landfill is located at 14811 Dumfries Road in Manassas, VA and can be reached at 703-792-5750. The Landfill Office is open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.   
 
*The Landfill and Mulching Facility is open every day during regular hours except for New Year's Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day when they are closed.  On Christmas Eve Day (Dec. 24), the landfill is open from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Monday- Saturday:  6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday:  8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  
 
Refuse Haulers and Commercial Users:
Monday-Saturday:  6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday:  closed
 
The Too Good to Waste Place (Landfill)
Daily:  9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
 
Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics Recycling Collection (Residents Only)
Wednesday and Saturday:  10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
 
Recycling Processing Building (Refuse Haulers and Commercial Users Only)
Monday through Friday:  7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday:  closed 
 
 
Directions
 
From Woodbridge:  Take Minnieville Road (going west) until it ends at the intersection with Route 234.  Turn right and travel approximately one mile.  At the second traffic light, turn right into the Landfill Complex.
 
From Manassas:  Take Route 234 south toward Dumfries.  It is approximately seven miles from Old Town Manassas.  Turn left into the Landfill Complex at the traffic signal.
 
From Dumfries and I-95:  Take Route 234 toward Manassas.  Travel approximately five miles.  Turn right into the Landfill Complex at the traffic signal.
 

Balls Ford Road Compost Facility 

The Balls Ford Road Compost Facility is located at 13000 Balls Ford Road in Manassas near the intersection of Balls Ford Road and Wellington Road.  You can contact the facility at 703-335-8181.

Hours are Monday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

Note New Hours -- Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics Recycling are accepted at the Balls Ford Road Compost Facility on the second Saturday of the month from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

The facility is closed on New Year's Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.  Hours on Christmas Eve are 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
