Police Reports

Getting a copy of a police report

Have you been a victim of a crime and want to get a copy of the "police" report? These reports (officially termed "incident reports") are not copied and released directly to the public. Instead, victims and insurance companies can request and receive a verification that a police report is on file.

These documents are NOT available at the Gar-Field Station in Woodbridge, nor at the Western District Station in Manassas. They are available in person, and by mail, from the Prince William County Police Department Records Section.

The Police Department Records Section is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday (except holidays), and is located at 8400 Kao Circle, Euclid Business Center, Manassas, VA 20110.  The phone number is 703-792-6562.
To make a request for a police report in writing, send a letter to the above address with the date of the incident, the location of the incident, your name, and a self-addressed envelope. Insurance companies should add a money order in the amount of $4 with your request.

You are now leaving the official Prince William County Government website.
