UPDATES​
Abduction | Sexual Assault Investigation *ARREST – During the extensive investigation, detectives from the Special Victims Bureau and Violent Crimes Bureau were able to identify the suspect involved in the abduction that occurred in the 14200 block of Essex Dr in Woodbridge in the morning hours of October 9. Members of the Department's Forensics Services Section were able to link the accused, identified as Adam-Seth Nathaneal WALTER, to the incident from evidence recovered from the scene. Members of the Street Crimes Unit apprehended the accused without incident in the area while on an unrelated investigation. The investigation into the abduction revealed the victim, an 11-year-old girl, was walking to school when she observed the accused coming towards her. The accused grabbed the victim and implied he had a weapon. At the same time, a witness, identified as a 34-year-old woman, was in front of her residence and observed the victim with the accused. During the encounter, the accused repeatedly struck the witness causing significant injuries before forcing her and the juvenile victim into the residence. Another occupant of the house heard the accused in the home and attempted to intervene. The accused then fled the residence with the juvenile victim. When the accused left the residence, the witness immediately called police to report the incident. The accused took the victim to an address on Cumberland Dr where he sexually assaulted her. After the encounter, the accused released the victim and fled on foot. Responding officers learned of the juvenile victim from the witness and began checking the area. The juvenile victim approached an officer stationed in the area a short time later. The juvenile victim and witness were transported to an area hospital for treatment while detectives and forensic investigators continued the investigation. The accused has been charged with multiple felonies in connection to this investigation and remains incarcerated.

  • Abduction | Sexual Assault Investigation [Previously Released] – On October 9 at 8:14AM, officers responded to the 14200 block of Essex Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an abduction. The investigation revealed that the victim, a juvenile girl, was reportedly walking to school along Essex Dr near Radford Dr when an unknown man approached and grabbed her. During the encounter, the suspect forced his way into a nearby home where he assaulted one of the residents, identified as an adult female, before fleeing the area on foot with the juvenile victim. The suspect took the juvenile victim to an unknown location on Cumberland Dr where he sexually assaulted her. The suspect then released the juvenile victim and fled on foot. The juvenile victim was located by responding officers a short time later. A police K-9 searched the area for the suspect who was not located. The investigation continues.
Attempted Malicious Wounding | Strangulation *ARREST – On October 9 at 2:30PM, Glen Felix CORUM, wanted for a strangulation that occurred earlier that morning, was located and arrested after he had returned to the residence located in the 15100 block of Lee Hwy in Gainesville.

  • Attempted Malicious Wounding | Strangulation [Previously Released] – On October 9 at 4:30AM, officers responded to investigate an assault that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 15100 block of Lee Hwy in Gainesville (20155). The victim, a 42-year-old woman, reported to police that she and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused placed a razor blade and a knife against the victim's neck. At one point, the accused also attempted to strangle the victim and prevented her from leaving the residence. The victim was eventually able to flee the home and flag down passing motorists for assistance. Minor injuries were reported. Officers responded to the offense location and determined the accused fled prior to their arrival at the home. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused, identified as Glen Felix CORUM. Attempts to locate the accused were unsuccessful.
Strangulation | Domestic Related *ARREST –  On October 6, Dwayne Leyonel BUCK, wanted for a strangulation that occurred at a residence located in the 14700 block of Barksdale St in Woodbridge on April 12, was located and arrested by the Calvert County Sheriff's Office in Maryland. The accused remains incarcerated in Maryland pending extradition back to Virginia.

  • Strangulation | Domestic Related [Previously Released] – On April 12 at 11:38PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14700 block of Barksdale St in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a domestic. The victim, a 36-year-old woman, reported to police that she and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation, which escalated. During the encounter, the accused pushed the victim then took her cell phone and damaged the screen. As the victim turned to walk away, the accused grabbed her and placed her in a chokehold. The parties eventually separated and the accused fled the area on foot. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Dwayne Leyonel BUCK. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful. The investigation continues. 
INCIDENTS​
Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On October 9 at 9:52PM, officers responded to the 12200 block of Purcell Rd in Manassas (20112) to investigate a shots fired call. The caller reported to police that multiple gunshots were heard in the area. When officers arrived, they located multiple shell casings in the roadway. No injuries or property damage were reported. The investigation continues.
Residential Burglary – On October 9 at 5:00PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 10100 block of Lomond Dr in Manassas (20109) to investigate a burglary. The investigation revealed that the burglary occurred sometime between 6:00AM and 2:00PM. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. An Xbox One with accessories, an IPad, and money were reported missing.
ARRESTS​
Malicious Wounding – On October 10 at 1:47AM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 7400 block of Princess Carol Ct in Manassas (20111) to investigate a domestic. The victim, a 19-year-old woman, reported to police that she and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. When the victim attempted to leave the apartment, the accused retrieved a knife and threatened her. The accused then unsuccessfully tried to take the victim purse. A struggle ensued during which the victim received several minor lacerations. The victim was eventually able to take the knife from the accused who then fled the apartment. The accused, identified as William Thomas PROFFITT, was located and arrested a short time later at a family member's home in the area. Minor injuries were reported by the victim and the accused.

Strangulation | Domestic Related – On October 8 at 12:20AM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 1900 block of Gableridge Turn in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic. The victim, a 28-year-old woman, reported to police that she and the accused, a family member, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim by the neck. The parties eventually separated, and the police were contacted. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Milton Mardoquedo FIGUEROA BAIRES, was arrested without incident.

Strangulation | Abduction | Domestic Related – On October 6 at 11:23AM, officers responded to investigate an assault that occurred between 8:00PM on October 3 and 1:55AM on October 4 in the area of Hillendale Dr and Dale Blvd in Woodbridge (22193). The victim, an adult female, reported to police that she and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated while they were driving in the above area. During the encounter, the accused struck the victim several times before brandishing a gun at her. When the victim exited the vehicle, the accused forced her back into the vehicle at gunpoint. At some point, the accused also choked the victim. The accused eventually let the victim go then drove away. The victim responded to the Charlie T. Dean Station on October 6 to report the incident. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers obtained additional charges for the accused, identified as Paulo Roberto Castellani LISBOA, who had been previously arrested on October 4 for a robbery that occurred at the Sheetz on Prince William Pkwy a short time after this incident. The accused remains incarcerated at the Prince William – Manassas Adult Detention Center located at 9320 Lee Ave in Manassas.

Charged with strangulation, abduction, malicious wounding, brandishing a firearm,  and assault & battery

  • Armed Robbery [Previously Released] – On October 4 at 2:05AM, officers responded to the Sheetz located at 4021 Prince William Pkwy in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. An employee reported to police that an unknown man entered the business, brandished a firearm, and order the clerk to give him gas. The clerk programmed the gas pump and contacted police when the suspect went outside to fuel his vehicle. Responding officers arrived at the location and observed the suspect pumping gas while still holding the firearm. Officers challenged the suspect who complied with police and was taken into custody without further incident. No injuries were reported. During the arrest, officers discovered the suspect was wearing a ballistic vest under his clothing. Following the investigation, the accused, Arrested on October 4: [No Photo Available]

Abduction | Domestic Related – On October 7 at 5:36PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 1900 block of Heatherbrook Ct in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an abduction. The victim, a 30-year-old woman, reported to police that she and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused took the victim's cell phone and damaged it. The accused and the victim eventually got into a vehicle and began driving around the Lake Ridge area. When the victim attempted to exit the vehicle on several occasions, the accused pulled her back into the vehicle. At some point, the victim was able to exit the vehicle in the 12500 block of Gordon Blvd, and the accused fled the area. The victim later returned to her residence where police were contacted. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused, identified as Dallas Deonte COX, who turned himself in at the Gar-Field Station without incident on October 9. Minor injuries were reported by the victim and the accused.
