Daily Incident Report for Wednesday, July 11, 2018
INCIDENTS
Residential Burglary – On July 10 at 4:40PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 6200 block of Toledo Pl in Haymarket (20169) to investigate a burglary. The investigation revealed that the burglary occurred sometime between April 1 and July 10. Entry appeared to have been made into the home through a kitchen window that was found damaged. No property was reported missing.
Destruction of Property – On July 10 at 9:39AM, officers responded to the Prince William County Courthouse located at 9311 Lee Ave in Manassas (20110) to investigate a destruction of property. The investigation revealed that sometime between 5:00PM on July 9 and 1:00AM on July 10, an unknown suspect(s) struck approximately three to four windows of the facility with, what was believed to be, a BB-type gun. The projectiles damaged the first pane of the windows. No projectile entered the building, which was unoccupied at the time of the incident.
ARRESTS
Strangulation | Abduction – On July 8 at 2:30AM, officers responded to investigate an assault which was reported to have occurred in the 5100 block of Charles Ewell Ln in Woodbridge (22193) the evening prior, on July 7, at approximately 11:30PM. The victim, a 22-year-old woman, reported to police that she and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation inside of a vehicle that escalated. The victim and the accused were driving towards his residence when the two began to argue. At one point, the victim exited the vehicle and attempted to walk to her residence. The accused followed the victim and proceeded to grab the victim before forcing her back towards the vehicle. The accused then wrapped his hands around the victim's neck and lifted her from the ground. The parties eventually separated and police were contacted. The victim was treated for injuries. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Branden Jamal NESBITT, was arrested.

Brandishing – On June 1 at 6:20AM, officers responded to investigate a brandishing that was reported to have occurred in the area of Minnieville Rd and Spriggs Rd in Woodbridge (22193). The victim, a 25-year-old man, reported to police that he was stopped at the traffic light in the above area when the driver of a Chevrolet pickup truck pulled alongside his vehicle. The victim further reported that the driver was holding a handgun in his hand, which he then pointed upward. The other driver yelled towards the victim about his driving before pulling away. The victim continued to an area business where police were contacted. During the course of the investigation, a possible identity of the driver was developed. The driver was subsequently identified as the accused, Jesse William Blair LYON. Following the investigation, officers obtained a warrant for the accused who was arrested during a traffic stop on July 10.
