Attempted Strangulation | Abduction | Domestic Related *ARREST On April 12, Ryan Anthony BUMBRAY, wanted for a domestic assault that occurred in a vehicle in the area of Balls Ford Rd and Sudley Rd in Manassas on April 10, turned himself in at the Adult Detention Center in Manassas without incident and was arrested.

  • Attempted Strangulation | Abduction | Domestic Related [Previously Released] On April 10 at 8:42PM, officers began to investigate a domestic assault that occurred in a vehicle in the area of Balls Ford Rd and Sudley Rd in Manassas (20109) earlier that morning.  The investigation revealed that the victim, a 24-year-old woman of Haymarket, reported to police that she was involved in a verbal altercation with the accused, an acquaintance, while they were driving in the above area. During the encounter, the accused punched the victim and put her in a headlock. When the victim tried to get out of the vehicle, the accused hit the victim again and did not let her get out. The victim was eventually able to break free from the accused and get out of the vehicle. The victim then ran from the accused who briefly chased after her. The victim eventually located an officer who was investigating an unrelated vehicle accident in the area. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers obtained multiple arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Ryan Anthony BUMBRAY. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful. The investigation continues.
INCIDENTS​
Strangulation | Domestic Related – On April 12 at 11:38PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14700 block of Barksdale St in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a domestic. The victim, a 36-year-old woman, reported to police that she and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation, which escalated. During the encounter, the accused pushed the victim then took her cell phone and damaged the screen. As the victim turned to walk away, the accused grabbed her and placed her in a chokehold. The parties eventually separated and the accused fled the area on foot. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Dwayne Leyonel BUCK. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful. The investigation continues.

​ARRESTS
Stabbing Investigation – On April 13 at 12:49AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 1600 block of James Madison Hwy in Haymarket (20169) to investigate a stabbing. The investigation revealed that the accused arranged for several acquaintances to meet him at his residence to conduct a narcotics transaction. When the acquaintances arrived, the accused attempted to complete the transaction when the vehicle started to drive away. At some point, the accused dove into the vehicle through an open window then stabbed the driver, a 23-year-old male, with a knife. The driver, who was also armed with knife, then stabbed the accused in the upper body. The parties eventually separated and the vehicle drove away. The accused returned to his residence and police were contacted by family members. The driver of the vehicle eventually pulled over in Loudoun County and contacted police. Both parties were eventually flown to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries. A search warrant was subsequently executed at the residence of the accused. Drugs and several firearms were recovered. Detectives with the Violent Crimes Bureau subsequently obtained an arrest warrant for the accused, identified as Jeremy Marshall COMPTON. The accused was arrested following his release from the hospital. Additional charges are pending. The investigation continues.

Threats of Bodily Harm | Threats on School Grounds – On April 10 at 5:26PM, officers responded to a residence located in Woodbridge to investigate a threatening message against a student of Hylton High School located at 14051 Spriggs Rd in Woodbridge (22193). The investigation revealed that the victim received several threatening messages communicated over the social media app "Instagram" from two user accounts that suggested an act of violence against the student while at the school. On April 11, another student reported to a School Resource Officer (SRO) that he had found graffiti written on a bathroom stall also suggesting an act of violence at the school. Upon further investigation of both incidents, detectives with the Intel Unit and the SRO determined that the same student who found and reported the threatening graffiti had also fraudulently created the two Instagram accounts. Further investigation also determined that the same suspect wrote the graffiti on the bathroom stall then reported it. Detectives subsequently determined that the risk to the school was not credible. Following the investigation, the SRO obtained and served petitions for the student on April 13.

Charged with communicating a threat of bodily harm over electronic means, threats of serious bodily injury on school property, and destruction of property

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On April 11 at 11:50PM, officers responded to the 1200 block of Corbett Pl in Woodbridge (22191) to serve an Emergency Custody Order for the accused. When officers arrived and attempted to detain the accused, he resisted and a struggle ensued. During the encounter, the accused struck an officer in the upper body causing a minor injury. The accused also spat into another officer's face. The accused was eventually detained without further incident. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Gael Sidbewindin SAWADOGO, was arrested.

Charged with 2 counts of assault & battery on a LEO and 1 count of resisting arrest
