Shooting Investigation *ARRESTS – On March 31, detectives from the Robbery Unit concluded the investigation into the shooting that occurred in the area of Portwood Turn in Manassas (20109) on October 6. Following the investigation, one of the suspects involved, identified as Jatzel Martin COLON SANTIAGO, was located and arrested without incident. The other suspect, identified as Angel Antonio ALONSO DEL PILAR, was located and taken into custody in Puerto Rico by local authorities on April 2.

  • Shooting Investigation [Previously Released] – On October 6 at 1:49AM, officers responded to the 8000 block of Portwood Turn in Manassas (20109) to investigate a shooting. When officers arrived, they located the victim, later identified as a 20-year-old man, suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers provided immediate first aid to the victim before he was transported to an area hospital. The victim is believed to have sustained non-life threatening injuries and is expected to survive. Several witnesses reported hearing gunshots in the area. Multiple shell casings were located by officers. No suspects have been identified and the motive behind the shooting is unknown. The investigation continues.
Residential Burglary – On April 11 at 6:59PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 2300 block of West Longview Dr. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred around 7:00AM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the home through a rear dining room window that was found damaged. A television and an undisclosed amount of money were reported missing.

Malicious Wounding – On April 8 at 5:39AM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 3100 block of Chesapeake Dr. in Dumfries (22026) to investigate an assault. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 41-year-old woman, and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal argument that escalated. During the encounter, the accused struck the victim in the face and arms multiple times. The parties eventually separated before the accused grabbed the victim's keys and fled the area. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Vincent Edward DILLARD, was located and arrested without incident.

Strangulation | Assault & Battery – On April 11 at 7:00PM, officers responded to investigate an assault that occurred between inmates at the Prince William – Manassas Adult Detention Center located at 9320 Lee Ave in Manassas (20110) on April 7. The investigation revealed the victim, a 23-year-old female, was involved in a verbal altercation with the accused, a fellow inmate that escalated. During the encounter, the accused struck the victim to the face and grabbed her neck. The parties eventually separated. The victim recently reported the incident to staff who then contacted police. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Rebeca Ivette ACOSTA-TEOS, was charged.

Felony Child Neglect | DUI – On April 11 at 5:54PM, officers responded to the area of Jefferson Davis Hwy. and Occoquan Rd. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a single motor vehicle crash. The investigation revealed the driver of a Ford Expedition, identified as the accused, was traveling south on Jefferson Davis Hwy. when the accused lost control of the vehicle and struck a jersey wall. Upon further investigation, officers determined that the accused was under the influence of alcohol. There was a 10-year-old family member also in the vehicle at the time of the crash. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Shaira MEJIA CUBILLA, was arrested.
