|Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling – On July 10 at 2:06PM, officers responded to the Orchard Mills Apartments located in the 3300 block of Bronson Ct. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shooting into an occupied dwelling. A resident of an apartment reported to police that a bullet hole was discovered earlier that morning in the kitchen area of the residence. The resident reportedly heard gunshots the night prior, on July 9, believing to have come from the parking lot area of the complex at approximately 10:00PM. During the investigation, officers were also alerted to two vehicles which were struck by bullets parked on Bronson Ct. Officers did respond the previous evening to a separate shooting call nearby on Brickwood Ct at 9:48PM. The caller reported hearing what was believed to be gunshots before a vehicle sped off. At that time, officers checked the area and did not locate any signs of a shooting or property damage. No injuries were reported. |
Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On July 10 at 12:50PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 9400 block of Blackstone Rd. in Manassas (20110) to serve a detention order on a juvenile for violating her probation. When officers arrived, the juvenile was hiding in a closet. When officers attempted to detain her, she resisted by kicking at officers. Officers were eventually able to take the juvenile into custody and place her inside of a marked police vehicle for transport. While inside the cruiser, the juvenile began kicking the door and hitting her head against the window. As the juvenile was being assisted out of the vehicle, she spat on an officer. After a brief struggle, the accused was re-secured without further incident. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the juvenile, identified as a 16-year-old female, was taken into custody and additional petitions were obtained by officers.
