Proffer Policy
On October 8, 2013, the Planning Office spoke before the Board of County Supervisors about the current proffer policy in place. Proffers are a significant factor in the County’s land use regulation process and are used to link land use decisions to public facility needs. The purpose of a proffer policy is to anticipate impacts of a rezoning application and to mitigate those impacts through recommended contributions outlined in detail in the Policy Guide for Monetary Contributions.
