The mission of the Office of Planning is to assist the community in developing the County to its best potential. Planning staff evaluates and implements policies to support the goals of the community as it prospers and matures.
The Planning Office has three divisions: Long Range Planning, Current Planning, and Zoning Administration. The office is responsible for the development and implementation of the County's Comprehensive Plan, reviewing development applications, supporting land use tools and policies, and lastly acting as staff to the boards, committees, and commissions.
