JEAN C. SMITH AMPHITHEATER

This recently renovated amphitheater, located in Triangle, VA, offers a bench area and extensive lawn seating, protected by a colorful shade structure. The amphitheater releases a summer entertainment schedule during the spring, featuring local children's acts.

Picnic-style foods are permitted in the amphitheater area, however alcoholic beverages and videotaping are not permitted at any time.

Pricing

All performances are $4.50 for ages 2 and up. Ages 2 and under admitted FREE.

Group rates available for groups of 10 or more at a rate of $3.50 per attendee. Picnics and drinks allowed under our wide shade cover. No alcoholic beverages or video, please. For information and reservations, call 703-221-8579.

May 28th
Rainbow Company 10:30am: Sword in the Stone

The Sword in that Stone....the story of young King Arthur. Whoever pulls the sword from the stone will be the next king of England.
May 28th
Rainbow Company 7pm: Voyage of Sin Bad

The Voyage of Sindbad.....when Sindbad the sailor arrives at this town, he learns that the princess has been taken by the evil magician.  Can he rescue her?
June 11th Rainbow Co. 10:30am: Ferdinand The Bull
The Story of Ferdinand.....Ferdinand the Bull is not like other bulls. He would rather sit under the cork tree and smell the flowers. What happens when he gets stung by a bee just when they are choosing bulls for the bullfights?
June 18th
Dean the Magic Man 10:30am Super Marvelous Magic Show

A magic show based on the world of Super Heroes. 'Where every kid is a super hero' wear your favorite super hero shirts to the show. Come and find out what your super power is, Super Strength, Super Vision or Super Smarts. Coe and see this great character education show!

Come and see a fun, comedic magic show with lots of audience participation and really cool magic.
June 25th Reptile World 10:30am
Michael has been sharing the wonders of the world of reptiles for over a generation. You will be amazed as he handles a live Gila monster, American Alligators, Nile Crocodile, Timber Rattle Snake, Copperhead and the Indian Cobra. After the show you will get an opportunity to touch a live snake.
July 18th
Magnificent Belly Dance 5pm (FREE)

The Suburban Gypsies (all students at Magnificent Belly Dance) will be performing dances with veils, poi-veils, and perhaps swords in addition to ‘no prop” dances. Music selections include traditional Middle East belly dance music as well as pop and techno. Following the beautiful energetic dancing of the troupe, hip scarves and veils will be available to audience members so they may join us in a little instruction and dancing.

Aug 13th
Dean Alan’s Jurassic Magic Show  10am

Join us for a Pre-Hysterical Magic show! This show features puppets, magic and dinosaurs. A fun and educational show for children that love Dinosaurs.
