Birchdale camp programs allow campers to try new activities, develop peer relationships, explore the outdoors, kickstart an active lifestyle and most of all - have fun!


Birchdale Buddy Camp (ages 5-8) In its fourth year, Buddy Camp ROCKS for the younger set. Proven fun, cooking, snacks, free play, pretend play, Legos, books, Play-doh, puzzles, sensory tables, easel painting, naps and onsite swimming. 

Day Trippers (ages 8-14) Our Day Tripper van might end up anywhere in the northern VA region during the summer! We love taking campers on day adventures including swimming, museums, outdoor recreation and more. 

One Day Fun Day Camps (ages 3-5) Birchdale camp firetruck.jpgWith crafts, games, easel painting, special events, take home surprises, snacks and all supplies, we've got you covered when it comes to fun! Campers should bring their own lunch, two drinks and must be potty-trained. Pre-registration is required. Sign up for one day or all 12 options!

Evening Cooking Camp (Ages 4-5 & 6-10) Our popular cooking classes have expanded into the evening hours. Join us to kick it up in the kitchen as we discover what it means to cook Mexican, American, French & Italian-style dishes. Bring an apron and plan to get messy. Pre-register early - these classes fill up fast.

One Night Fun Night Cooking Camps (ages 3-10) Modeled after our popular One Day Fun Day Camps - campers try their hand at preparing appetizers, cookies, burritos, milk shakes, salad bars, tacos, cupcakes, breakfast and finger foods. Pre-register early, these classes fill up fast!​
