Silver Lake Regional Park
Silver Lake Regional Park is a designated passive recreation park with 230 acres of rolling meadows, 
pine forests and a 23-acre lake fed by 
Little Bull Run Stream.  The park opens at sunrise and closes at sunset.

Amenities
  • Four miles of multipurpose trails shared by hikers and equestrians.
  • Picnic areas with tables and permanent grills (personal grills not permitted).
  • Restroom facility is available from April through late October.

The Lake

  • Bank fishing for bluegill and largemouth bass fish.
  • No gas powered watercraft is permitted on the lake. 
  • Use of electric trolling motors for individuals with disabilities who cannot manually row or paddle their watercraft

Trash In/ Trash Out Policy

There are no trash cans at Silver Lake Park.  Park visitors are responsible for removal of their own trash. 
What you bring into the park, you must take out of the park. Let's keep our park clean and trash-free!
 
Upcoming Winter Programs - Registration Early

Winter Camping Skill!  Sponsored by Cabela's 
We're partnering with Cabela's to bring you this informative seminar and field training in choosing the right equipment for safe winter camping, and how to properly use it.  We'll also learn the skills needed to survive unexpected outdoor winter emergencies, and learn some helpful outdoor cooking tricks while preparing hobo lunches.  Dress for the weather.  A campfire and hot beverages will be provided for warming.

Owl Prowl    Sponsored by Cabela's
Join us for a night of owling in the park.  We'll start with a nature craft and family friendly story, "Owl Moon", an award winning tale of a little girl's first Owling journey on a cold winter's night.  We'll follow with an information session on owl's native to our area, then owling through the park by the light of an almost full moon.  Hot drinks and a cozy campfire will warm us.
