Meet New York Times #1 bestselling children's author D.J. MacHale, known for his Pendragon series. Mr. MacHale is also a director, executive producer, and creator of several popular television series and movies with networks such as ABC, Nickelodeon, and Discovery Kids. He'll be discussing and signing his newest book, Curse of the Boggin, first in a new series called The Library, a spooky middle-grade anthology about a creepy library where ghosts go to write their unfinished stories. Buy a book at our event or bring one of your own to have signed, or just come to meet a famous author!

We'll have a balloon artist and a live animal petting zoo complete with a photogenic parrot, unusual reptiles, and fuzzy ferrets! Explore the library and the entertainment, and then enjoy some refreshments. At 11:30 a.m., Supervisor Nohe will give a short presentation to welcome Independent Hill's lovely new addition.
