Visit Potomac Library during the month of February to add to the "Dream Board" in the children's area. Inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., this bulletin board is a collection of original quotes written by our young patrons. Come add your own words of wisdom!

  Sound, Body, and Dance : Potomac
Saturday, February 6, 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.
A workshop to emphasize the influence of African-American roots from the Caribbean to the Pacific. We will explore our psychosocial participation while we dance and hear the sounds of diverse instruments. Registration is suggested beginning Saturday, January 23.

Journey to Africa with Kofi Dennis : Chinn Park
Ages 2 and up with caregiver.
Saturday, February 20, 2:00 p.m.
Take an imaginary journey to share in the movements, sounds, and instruments of different West African traditions with a master Wolf Trap artist and teacher.

Beautiful Quilts, Telling Quilts: An African-American History Month special : Bull Run
Grades 1 & up
Sunday, February 28, 2:00 p.m.
Quilts have played an important role in African-American history. Listen to stories and enjoy an easy quilting craft. For children grades one and up and their families.
