E-Mail Notification Form for Library Notices

Your Prince William Public Library System library record is not linked to your ILLiad record. If you have a PWPLS ILLiad account, please submit your email changes to ILLiad as well

 E-Mail notice request/update for cardholders

By completing this form, I am authorizing the Library to send reminders and notices to me via e-mail instead of regular mail. I also understand that if notices sent to the e-mail address are returned to the library, the library will remove the e-mail address from this library card record and resume sending postal mail notices and will verify with the cardholder verbally when the card is next used in the library.

Questions and Answers

Q. Why is the library offering Internet e mail notification?
A. Library users have requested this service as a convenience for users and to save postage.
Q. How does Internet e-mail notification work?
A. When a hold is ready for you to pick up, the library will send you an e-mail message. The message will list the title(s) being held, the library holding the material and how long the material will be held for you. In addition, if you have library materials more than twenty one (21) days overdue, a notice also will be sent via e-mail.
Q. Can all the members of my family receive their notices at the same e-mail address?
A. Yes, but privacy may be a concern. If family members share one e-mail address, then all persons with access to that mailbox will be able to view the notices sent to that e-mail address.
Q. What do I do if my e-mail address changes?
A. Notify the library of your new address when you visit or fill out the form available on this page.
