Elaine Zamora, GIVE Chairman of Gannett & USA Today Employees came through the doors of the library with five new American Girls Historical Dolls to add to Bull Run’s collection. This collection is extremely popular at Bull Run and the shelves behind the Circulation Desk where they are housed never has a doll “live” there for more than a few hours. Staff at Bull Run are pleased that with this new donation they’ll be able to provide even more of their young patrons with the opportunity to experience this wonderful collection. Many thanks to Ms. Zamora and all the employees at Gannett & USA Today that contributed to this fundraising effort that resulted in such a tremendous gift for the Bull Run library.
The library has received donations from an anonymous patron, a library staff member and a family whose girls are pictured to the left have provided us with the dolls: Felicity, Cecile, Marie-Grace, Caroline and Emily.
The American Doll kits are available for check out.
We continue to welcome donations of new or like new American Girls historic dolls to further increase the size of this collection. Each girl captures a decade in American history and includes the doll, a paperback book, a journal and a local history card of life in Prince William county during that era. Donations are tax deductible and provide a wonderful learning experience for our young users. For more information on making a donation please stop by or call Bull Run library at 703-792-4500.
