Neighborhood Rehabilitation Programs

The Prince William County Office of Housing and Community Development (OHCD) administers two Housing Rehabilitation Programs.

Neighborhood Housing Rehabilitation Program (NHRP)

Is designed to assist owner-occupied residents of Prince William County and Manassas Park to correct health and safety issues as well as to increase energy efficiency with their properties. Total gross household income must be at or below 80 percent of the Area Median Income, adjusted for family size.  Households with incomes at or below 50 percent of area median income will receive priority for assistance. The amount of assistance provided for rehabilitation is based upon equity of the property.

Manassas City Home Repair Program

Provides financial assistance for repairs for low and moderate-income homeowners in the City of Manassas that otherwise would not be able to maintain safe, sanitary, and accessible housing.

In order to meet the most pressing needs of the City, the Applicant must be the owner of the property and use the property as their primary residence. Applicants with extremely low-income and multiple repairs will be given priority in being selected for the financial assistance. The property must fail HUD Housing Quality Standards (HQS) to be considered eligible.
