Sudley Manor Drive Fire Incident
On Thursday, August 9, at 1:48 a.m., fire and rescue units were dispatched to a structure fire in a two-story, single-family home located in the 9700 block of Sudley Manor Drive in Manassas.
The residents were alerted by the smoke detectors and had already evacuated when fire and rescue units arrived.  The fire, which started in the laundry room on the lower level, was quickly extinguished by firefighters. 
Two adults and one child were displaced.  One firefighter became ill during overhaul operations and was transported to a medical facility for treatment.
County police assisted with scene management.
The preliminary damage estimate is $100,000.
The cause of this fire is currently under investigation by the fire investigators from the Fire Marshal’s Office.
