What is My Hiring Status?
After passing the written test and the CPAT, your application and personal history statements will be evaluated. The next step in the hiring process is the polygraph exam. Polygraphs are conducted on an ongoing basis after the written test.
Polygraphs are conducted on an ongoing basis. Not all candidates who are polygraphed will move on to a psychological screening.
Psychological screenings are scheduled on an ongoing basis after the written test. Not all candidates who have been psychologically screened will move on to a medical exam.
Medical Exam and Drug Test
Medical exam and drug tests are scheduled on an ongoing basis. Not all candidates who have a medical exam will be scheduled for an interview. The information from the medical exam is confidential. Fire and Rescue Personnel will only be provided with an applicant's clearance to work.
Panel interviews will be scheduled on an ongoing basis following the medical exam. Not all candidates will receive an offer of employment.
Offer of Employment
Approximately one month prior to the start of Recruit School, Personnel staff will make employment offers.
No Employment Offer Extended for this Recruit Class
All candidates not receiving an offer of employment will be notified via email approximately one month prior to Recruit School start date.
