Tax Administration Division


Personal property taxes are due October 5, 2016. Tax Administration offices are open from 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday.  An after-hours drop-off box is also available at each location.  Offices will remain open for in-person payments until 6:30 P.M. on Tuesday, October 4, and Wednesday, October 5, 2016.  You can access your personal property account, print a statement of your account, and pay online by using eXpress Tax.  If you need to correct information on your account, please call us at 703-792-6710. Please note that credit card payments can only be made online or by telephone. Payments in person can be made by cash, check, money order or debit card (with PIN).

Use  eXpress Tax to access the amount of personal property taxes you owe or have previously paid. 

If you need the amount of real estate tax due on your property for calendar year 2016, or amount paid in a prior year,  please send a request by email to  Please include in the email your name, property address or RPC#, and the tax years needed.

Check or Money Order by Mail - Mail payment using the return envelope that came with the tax bill and include the tear off portion of the tax bill.   

Check Drop-Box - Look for the metal box located near the entrance of any Taxpayer Services office building. Please include the tear off portion of the tax bill.    

Taxpayer Services Locations - For in person payments, we accept Cash, Check, Money Order, & Debit Card (with pin).  We do not accept credit card payments in the office. Payment by credit card is only available online and by telephone (see back of bill for information and convenience fee schedule).

Dog License 

All dogs four months of age and older must be licensed. Dog licenses are renewed annually and are available beginning in November. The due date for license renewals is January 31. Cost is $10 per dog license. Visit the Animal Licensing page for more information. 

To purchase a license, complete a Dog License Application and return it with a current rabies vaccination certificate.
