Real Estate Assessments
You may view assessment information via the online Real Estate Property Assessment System (LandRover).  The most recent information on assessment changes by zip code is published in the 2012 Assessments Memo.  Other general County real estate data is available in the 2011 Annual Report.

All real property in Prince William County, except public service properties (the property of operating railroads, interstate pipelines, and public utilities), is assessed by the Real Estate Assessments Office.

The Real Estate Assessments Office collects information regarding property descriptions, property sales, and other real estate market data. To ensure property descriptions are accurate, County appraisers periodically inspect properties to verify current data.

On March 20, 2012, Director of Finance, Steve Solomon, gave a presentation to the Prince William County Board of County Supervisors regarding Prince William County real estate assessments for tax year 2012.  To view this presentation, click here.

Real estate assessments are a matter of public record.  Other public information available at the real estate assessments office includes sales prices and dates, legal descriptions, descriptions of the land and buildings, and ownership information.

If you have questions about the real estate assessment process, please contact the Real Estate Assessments Office at 703-792-6780 or RealEstate@pwcgov.org.
