Payment of parking tickets, personal property and real estate taxes can be made online using American Express, MasterCard, Visa, and Discover Card.
All online credit and debit card payments are subject to a service fee. The fee is based on the amount of the transaction. The service fee is paid directly to the company processing the card payment. No part of this fee goes to the County. Prior to authorizing payment, you will have the opportunity to review the fee amount and to decided whether to accept the fee or to cancel the transaction.

eCheck is a convenient way to make a payment using your checking account. The County accepts checking account transfer payments for Real Estate and Personal Property tax.
All eCheck payments are processed by the County.

Account numbers are listed on the tax bill - Personal Property is an eight to eleven digit number and Real Estate (RPC) is a one to six digit number.
The automated system will prompt you for the information it needs to process your payment. Be sure to write down the receipt number in case there are questions about your payment.

For prompt processing, tax payments should be returned in the remittance envelope that came with your tax bill.
A single check may be used to pay multiple tax bills. If paying multiple bills, please include with your payment the tear off remittance slip of each bill that is being paid.
The directions on your tax bill might ask you to return payment to DEPT 871, ALEXANDRIA VA 22334-0871. This address is the County's mail collection point for bank remittance processing. Using a remittance processing bank ensures that transactions are accurately captured and posted.
