• The Department of Development Services (DDS) provides service to the County’s development customers through a partnership approach in order to streamline the development process.
The Department of Development Services (DDS) is the lead development agency for the County. DDS works closely with many affiliated agencies, including Planning, the Fire Marshal, Public Works, Transportation and Information Technology, to assist customers with development projects. Our goal is to help customers complete their projects in a timely manner in compliance with County and state requirements.

Early Assistance Desk

​Visit the Early Assistance Desk in the Development Services Building (directions). A Development Technician will ask questions about your project to customize the services you receive. Customers experienced with the process may use the Self Service Kiosk. 

 

Streamlined Processes for Commercial Developers

​The Department of Development Services has implemented a Commercial Project Management Model. Each commercial development plan is assigned a Project Manager who guides the project through the various approvals, permits and inspections.
