Community Service Adult Vocational Rehabilitation Programs

28558027_M.jpgVocational Rehabilitation Services programs provide time-limited, rehabilitative services for adults with psychiatric and/or co-occurring disorders who want to move forward in their personal recovery. The ultimate goal of each of these programs is to assist participants in effectively and independently integrating into the community. There are 2 types of programs: Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Supported Employment.

Psychosocial Rehabilitation Programs

Prince William Club participants attend Monday through Friday at our Manassas location.  Activities include center-based rehabilitation activities and educational groups intended to build independent living and pre-vocational skills.  The goal for each participant is to be able to "graduate" and be successful in meeting their individual goals; such as employment, school or other community-centered activities.

Horticultural Therapy participants attend Monday through Friday from our Manassas location. The group works together in the community on landscaping and gardening projects, which combined with ongoing educational groups, help participants build independent living and pre-vocational skills. The goal for each participant is to be able to "graduate" and be successful in meeting their individual goals, such as employment, school or other community-centered activities.   Watch our  Horticulture Therapy video for more information.  Check out  the Friends of Horticultural Therapy  to volunteer or get involved.

Supported Employment Program

The Supported Employment Program staff work with participants to:
  • Determine what type of competitive, community based employment best serves their interests and skills,
  • Complete appropriate job search activities,
  • Provide ongoing job supports in order to maintain employment.
Please note the Supported Employment Program is only able to serve individuals who meet certain diagnostic criteria and are referred by the Virginia Department of Aging and Rehabilitative Services (DARS).  For further information about any of these programs, please call 703-792-5480 or email us at  CSVocationalServices@pwcgov.org
