Women's Recovery Project
The Women's Recovery Project provides specialized services for women recovering from alcohol and chemical dependence. Priority is given to women who are pregnant. Our mission is to provide a safe, supportive and healing environment for the early stages of recovery and to help women acquire the skills necessary for independent living. Mental health and substance abuse issues are addressed during treatment. Services include:
- Evaluation
- Intensive and weekly group treatment specialized to meet the needs of women
- Individual, couples and family therapy
- Crisis intervention
- Specialized services for pregnant and postpartum women
- Parenting and child development education
- Case management services to link clients with needed community supports including prenatal care, food, housing and job training
- Referrals to affordable residential detoxification and rehabilitation programs
- Access to medication evaluations for individuals with mental health issues
- Auricular acupuncture to help reduce withdrawal symptoms and anxiety.
