Strategic Plan

The Board of County Supervisors (BOCS) adopts a Strategic Plan every four years, reflecting the community’s vision, its desired outcomes and strategies aimed to achieving those outcomes.  The BOCS recently appointed a 20 member team to develop the 2017-2020 Strategic Plan, the third of six plans that will incrementally move the County toward the residents’ vision for 2030, as stated by the Prince William 2030 Report and the Comprehensive Plan.

The 2017-2020 Strategic Plan was adopted by the BOCS on Tuesday, January 24, 2017.  The adopted strategic goal areas include Robust Economy, Mobility, Wellbeing, Safe & Secure Community, and Quality Education & Workforce Development; the BOCS also includes a strategic priority of Connectivity. Details regarding the 2017-2020 Strategic Plan are available online.

Strategic Plan Implementation

The BOCS is conducting a series of work sessions to discuss the implementation of the 2017-2020 Strategic Plan.  These work sessions are open to the public.  The meeting location and information discussed during the meetings are available below.
