Inmate Records is responsible for maintaining an inmate's information to include charges Court status Court dates and bond information as well as calculating the release dates for inmates sentenced by Courts in Prince William County. If the inmate is sentenced to a term of confinement from one day to 12 months the Detention Center will calculate the release date. Any inmate sentenced to a one year term or longer will likely be transferred to the state Department of Corrections. The state will determine the release date for these inmates. The Department of Corrections is also responsible for parole eligibility dates for all inmates who are sentenced and convicted.

The following information can be released on inmates incarcerated at the Adult Detention Center (with the exception of juveniles):

  • The current Court status of the person confined
  • The current criminal charges
  • The bond – if one exists
  • The next scheduled Court date
  • The release date – if the inmate has been sentenced

The Adult Detention Center can only verify information on inmates currently incarcerated. We are unable to release or confirm any information on persons who are no longer incarcerated or those being transported to or from the Adult Detention Center. Please note that information on juvenile inmates will not be released.
