Health Insurance Counseling

The Prince William Area Agency on Aging offers assistance to caregivers and older adults who need help understanding Medicare beneficiaries and their caregivers who need help understanding Medicare and working through other health insurance issues. Prince William Area Tax Relief Programs

Elderly Citizens and Disabled Persons who meet certain criteria may be granted relief from all or part of their real estate taxes, personal property tax, vehicle license fee, and the solid waste fee. Financial Education

Prince William County Cooperative Extension provides education and confidential counseling to help families and individuals manage their personal finances and prepare for major life events. Staff and trained volunteers can help you develop a budget, use a spending plan and learn about credit, home ownership and other topics.
 
 

Disability Determination Services

The Disability Determination Services (DDS), a division within Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitation Services (DARS), processes disability claims for benefits under the Social Security Disability Insurance and Supplemental Security Income Disability Programs. Following federal regulations, DDS commits to making accurate and prompt decisions on disability based on medical criteria, medical and psychological evidence, vocational criteria, consultative evaluation, and continuing disability review.
