Winding Loop Fire Incident
October 26, 2012
On Friday, October 26th, at 1:11 a.m., fire and rescue units were dispatched to a townhouse fire,
reportedly vacant, located in the 14800 block of Winding Loop in Woodbridge.
First-arriving units encountered heavy fire and smoke conditions.
As suppression operations got underway, police assisted with the evacuation of nearby townhomes.
No injuries were reported.
County Police assisted with on scene management.
The townhouse where the fire originated is a total loss and an adjacent townhouse was also substantially damaged.
According to the Fire Marshal’s Office, the preliminary damage estimate for both units is $400,000.00.
The origin and cause of the fire remain under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office.
A representative from the Building Official’s Office posted the two involved units as unsafe structures.
