CONGRATULATIONS
Battalion Chief Kimberely Pumphrey, Captain Michael LaSalle, Captain William Montminy,
Lieutenant Randy Coggin, Lieutenant Joseph Melvin, Lieutenant Kevin Richards, Technician II Kyle Cirillo and Technician II Adam Shannon

You were selected as the Fire and Rescue Department's Team Member of the Month for January 2014 for developing and delivering system-wide training for the recently updated Northern Virginia Operations Manual for Multiple Casualty Incidents.

You embraced this challenge as an opportunity to educate our operations personnel in a variety of ways in the event of a multiple casualty incident. You reviewed and broke down sections of the manual in order to develop weekly training that was distributed to personnel over a nine week period. The weekly training consisted of sections of the manual, videos, case studies, tabletop exercises, and a toolbox of information to assist in the overall understanding of multiple casualty incidents. Additionally, you developed a full day of training with mentors to assist personnel. This allowed them to ask questions and receive support and reinforcement from the
facilitators as they participated in the drill.

With the completion date near and the need for additional work time, you took this task on while still performing your routine duties that require much of your attention. This training would not have been possible without your teamwork, dedication and desire to provide a high-quality training program.

Your actions exemplify the County and Department's visions and values with your efforts being
emblematic of our ultimate performance value. Thank you for your hard work and dedication.
