On Wednesday, October 23rd at approximately 2:00 a.m., fire and rescue units were dispatched to a reported fire in the 10600 block of Tattersall Drive in Manassas.
First-arriving units located a fire moving from the rear of the home into the roof. A second-alarm was sounded when an adjacent home was being damaged from the fire and showed signs it may also ignite. Firefighters confirmed the occupants were evacuated and moved to a defensive operation.
No injuries were reported.
Red Cross was called to the scene to assist a displaced family of three; residents of the home where the fire originated.
The preliminary damage estimate is $330,000.00.
A Building Inspector was requested as well as Building and Grounds to re-secure part of a home that was exposed by the fire.
The fire is currently under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office.
