Ruby Tuesdays Fire Incident

On Tuesday, November 27th at approximately 1:00 p.m., fire and rescue units were dispatched to a commercial fire located at 17050 Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge.
 
Upon arriving at the scene, fire and rescue units observed smoke showing from the rear of the structure.  Firefighters were notified that the building had been safely evacuated and there was a fire in one of the utility closets. Firefighters extinguished the fire and checked for extension.  No further extension was found.
 
Smoke alarms were present and sounded alerting occupants to the fire and to safely evacuate the building. No injuries were reported.
 
According to the Fire Marshal’s Office, the estimated damage is $2,000.
 
The origin of the fire was a utility closet in the rear of the building.  The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office.
