On Monday, November 5th, at approximately 12:00 noon, fire and rescue units were dispatched to a structure fire in a single-family home located in the 1600 block of Rosedale Court in Woodbridge.
First-arriving units were informed that all family members were safely out of the home and proceeded to locate and extinguish a small fire in the lower level of the home.
Residents were alerted to the fire by the activation of a smoke alarm allowing them to safely evacuate the home. Red Cross was called to the scene to assist four adults and four children that were displaced.
No injuries were reported.
County Police assisted with scene management.
According to the Fire Marshal’s Office, preliminary damage estimate is $5,000.00 and the cause is under investigation.
A representative from the Building Official’s Office posted the home as unsafe to occupy due to the damage.
