Regency Place Apartments Fire Incident

On Sunday, July 22
around midnight, police and fire units responded to a fire alarm activation at Regency Place Apartments located at 9940 Shallow Creek Loop.
Further investigation revealed that a fountain type firework had been placed in the hallway of the first floor and unlawfully discharged resulting in a fire alarm activation. Scorch marks were discovered on the flooring an indication as to where the firework had been ignited.
Damage was minimal and no injuries were reported.
Fire and rescue units ventilated the apartment and requested further investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office and County Police.
