Welcomes Its Latest Graduates
On Friday, January 13, 2012, the Department held a graduation ceremony for Recruit Class 2011-2. The ceremony was held at the Hylton Performing Arts Center located at 10960 George Mason Circle in Manassas. Battalion Chief John Petrie presided over the ceremony.
The class consisted of 18 men and women, Technician Is, who successfully completed 24 weeks of physical and academic training at the Public Safety Training Center at 3101 Public Safety Drive in Nokesville. The class donned the name, "The Hurriquakes" because they were attending recruit school when the earthquake hit Louisa and when the Hurricane came ashore a few weeks later.
Among the graduates were Ryan Barry, Dione Bowling, Jameel Brady, Benjamin Carter, Thomas Fill, Michael Hauser, Greg Klatte, Paul Nicholson, Jason Peterson, Amanda Rackkiewicz, Randall Smith, Jessica Stull, Donald Theal, Justin Toth, Michael Toth, Anthony Tran, Steward White and Brian Wolf.
