Recent Fires in Prince William County

November 26, 2013
Keswick Court
 
On Sunday, November 24th at approximately 1:30 p.m., fire and rescue units were dispatched to a town house fire located in the 4800 block of Keswick Court in Dumfries.
 
Upon arrival, units observed smoke billowing from the front of the town home and the attic. Firefighters extinguished the fire with no further extension.
 
No injuries reported.
 
The fire is currently under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office.
 
 
Pinewood Court
 
On Monday, November 25th at approximately 2:00 p.m., fire and rescue units were dispatched to a structure fire in a 2-story single family home located in the 1600 block of Pinewood Court in Woodbridge.
 
Upon arrival, fire and rescue crews discovered fire showing from the front and side of the home.  Firefighters observed the fire on the first floor in the kitchen.  Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire with no further extension. 
 
No injuries reported.
 
The family, 2 adults and 1 child, were home at the time of the fire and evacuated the home safely.  Red Cross was called to assist the family. 
 
The fire is currently under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office.
 
 
Coverstone Drive
 
On Tuesday, November 26th, at approximately 7:00 a.m., fire and rescue units were dispatched to a structure fire in a multi-family residence located in the 10900 block of Coverstone Drive in Manassas.
 
Upon arrival, fire and rescue crews observed smoke and fire showing from the third floor of the apartment. A second alarm was requested. Firefighters proceeded to attack and quickly extinguished the fire.
 
No injuries reported.
 
The family, 5 adults, safely evacuated the premises.  Red Cross was called to the scene to assist the displaced family.
 
The fire is currently under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office.
