Prince William Marina Fire Incident

On Friday, August 3rd at approximately 6:00 p.m., fire and rescue units were dispatched to a boat fire at the Prince William Marina located at 12849 Gordon Blvd. in Woodbridge.
 
Upon arrival, fire and rescue units observed smoke emitting from a boat. Firefighters proceeded and extinguished the fire. 
 
One person sustained injuries and was flown to a regional hospital for further treatment.
 
Further investigation revealed the boat was in dry dock and being worked on by the owner of the marina during the time of the fire.
 
According to the Fire Marshal’s Office, the approximate damage to the boat is $100,000.
 
The fire has been determined accidental.
