Point Pleasant Lane Fire Incident
July 31, 2012
On Saturday, July 28
at approximately 4:00 p.m., fire and rescue units responded to a townhouse fire in the 16900 block of Point Pleasant Lane in Dumfries.
Upon arrival, fire and rescue units discovered a fire on the exterior of the townhouse in the basement area.
The fire extended into the walls and traveled up into the first floor living room.
Firefighters extinguished the fire and searched for further extension.
No extension was found.
No injuries occurred.
County police assisted with on scene management.
According to the Fire Marshal’s Office, preliminary damage is estimated at $25,000.00.
The incident is currently under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office.
