Indigo Bunting Court Fire Incident

On Wednesday, July 24th at approximately 1:00 p.m., fire and rescue units were dispatched to a structure fire in a single-family home located in the 14000 block of Indigo Bunting Court in Gainesville.
 
First arriving units were notified the occupants had safely evacuated the home and were directed to a fire in the dining room.  Firefighters extinguished the fire and checked for further extension.  No further extension was found.
 
Due to activation of the smoke alarm, the family was alerted to the fire allowing them to safely exit the home.  One adult sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene and released. Two adults and one child were displaced.
 
Preliminary damages estimated at $40,000 dollars.  The fire is currently under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office.
