Hamilton Drive Fire Incident
June 25, 2012
On Sunday, June 24
at approximately 10:30 a.m., fire and rescue units responded to a structure fire in a single-family home located in the 4600 block of Hamilton Drive in Woodbridge.
Upon arrival, fire and rescue crews were met by the occupants indicating everyone was out of the home and informed firefighters the location of the fire.
Crews proceeded to the fire located in a bedroom on the home’s main level.
The fire was quickly extinguished with no further extension.
Smoke detectors were present and working at the time of the incident alerting the nine residents enabling them to safely escape the home.
No injuries were reported.
According to the Fire Marshal’s Office, estimated preliminary damages are $25,000.00 and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
