fire.JPGPrince William County assures adequate public safety, health, and welfare through a collaborative system for the provision of fire, rescue, and emergency medical services programs.  The delivery of fire, rescue, and emergency medical services is provided by the combined personnel of the Prince William County Department of Fire and Rescue and the County’s eleven volunteer fire and rescue companies.

The Prince William Board of County Supervisors established the  Fire and Rescue Association, which is responsible for the coordination and provision of the County’s fire, rescue, and emergency medical services.  The Association’s Board Of Directors and Executive Committee are charged with the responsibility of the overall management of the system.  This is accomplished through the development of effective, efficient, and equitable fire, rescue, and emergency medical services county-wide.  The Association is responsible for determining policy and procedure for all fire, rescue, and medical service operations and to advise the Board of County Supervisors on matters relating to fire, rescue, and emergency medical services.

The Prince William County Fire and Rescue Association is composed of 11 volunteer fire and rescue organizations and the Prince William County Department of Fire and Rescue.  In partnership, their mission is to ensure the delivery of quality, efficient and effective fire protection, emergency medical services, and safety education to the community of Prince William County.
